No it doesn't matter, because the laws in each state that pertain to  the collection of Judgments are the same whether its small claims, higher State Court Judgments and Federal Judgments in that State.

No it's not expensive to collect on a Judgment once you know what to do. For example to file with the Court to get more Court orders doesn't cost you anything, because you paid the initial filing fee, and this is the same case.

Also you can pick and choose which strategies you use and you can check all fees and costs prior to choosing that particular strategy.

In my case The total costs for me to collect my Judgment was around $400, and that was because She was in another State and chose to file my Judgment in both State Court and Federal Court.

There are several obvious reasons. First because it is your Judgment, and your Judgment is more important to you than anyone else.

Second reason is it is the cheapest and the quickest way for you to get paid.

Third reason is keep more money by doing it yourself.

Fourth reason is you may future Judgments that you need to collect on, because life is unpredictable.

Yes there is a Federal Act that 48 States all cooperate to allow people to enforce Judgments in their state if is is a foreign Judgment and the two states that don't participate California and Vermont have very similar procedures as the other states and easy to make any adjustments if needed.

It is hard to give you an exact time frame, because there are a lot of variables such as which strategy you use and also the circumstances of the JD.

It is possible to get paid withing 7 to 10 days.

Getting paid even 30 days or 45 days after implementation is better that not getting paid at all. How long have you waited to get paid so far ??
